Our Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect from you, how we use and protect it, and your rights and choices.

Information We Collect

Information we receive when you use our Services. We collect Web-Behavior Information via cookies and other similar tracking technologies when you use and access our Services (our website, mobile apps, products, software and other services). See our [Cookie Policy] for more information.

Information you share directly with us. We collect and process your information when you place an order, create an account, create and/or complete research surveys, inquire of our services at a trade show or event, post on our Forums or use other messaging features, and contact Customer Care.

When you create an account, we collect Registration Information (your Name, Email Address, and your password). If you register for a paid subscription service, we use a third-party service provider to collect and process payment information for our services. BinaryStar does not directly collect or store payment information provided to the Services, but it may receive information associated with your payment card information including your address and phone number (your billing details). We do NOT capture or store your credit card number.

When you create and publish surveys using our Cloud Services, we collect Content you create for your surveys including text and graphics. We collect and maintain Responses submitted to your surveys and with them create and maintain Indices and Analytical Summaries for your exclusive use.

Information from other sources:

Analytics. We may use Google Analytics and other service providers to collect and process analytics information on our Services. For more information about Google Analytics, please visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/ . You can opt out of Google’s collection and processing of data generated by your use of the Site by going to https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Third Party Services and Organizations. We may obtain information about you from other sources, including through third-party login services such as Google login or Facebook login. We may collect information about you from that third party that you have made available via your privacy settings.

How We Use Information

We generally process Personal Information for the following reasons:

To provide our Services. We process Personal Information in order to provide our Services, which include processing payments, creating customer accounts and authenticating logins, and delivering results.

To analyze and improve our Services. We constantly work to improve and provide new reports, tools, and Services. We may also need to fix bugs or issues, analyze use of our website to improve the customer experience or assess our marketing campaigns.

Your organization: If you use our services on behalf of an organization (your employer), that organization may: access information associated with your use of the Services including usage and other data (who has accessed, shared, edited, amended or deleted content), and the contents of the communications, and files associated with your account; and control and administer your account.

We do not provide information to law enforcement or regulatory authorities unless required by law to comply with a valid court order, subpoena, or search warrant.

We do not share customer data with any public databases.

Security of your Information:

BinaryStar implements technological measures and systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and security of your information. Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept liability for unauthorized disclosure.

By using the Services or providing personal information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Services. If we learn of a security system’s breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by sending a notice through the Services or by sending an e-mail to you.

De-identification, Pseudonymization and data segmentation. Registration Information assigned a random ID so the person who provided the data cannot reasonably be identified. BinaryStar uses industry standard security measures to encrypt sensitive personal data. Additionally, data are segmented across logical database systems to further prevent identifiability.

Limiting access to essential personnel. We limit access of information to authorized personnel, based on job function and role. BinaryStar access controls include multi-factor authentication, and a strict role based, least-privileged authorization policy.

Detecting threats and managing vulnerabilities. BinaryStar uses state of the art intrusion detection and prevention measures to stop any potential attacks against its networks. We have integrated continuous vulnerability scanning in our development and deployment process and regularly engage third party security experts to conduct penetration tests.

Other provisions:

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, then your account information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.

International Data Transfers. All information processed by us may be transferred, processed and stored anywhere in the world, including, but not limited to the United States and other countries.

We refuse to trade with Cuba, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), Iran and Syria.

Data Retention. We retain the personal information we received as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.

Individual Rights to Personal Information:

In accordance with applicable law, you may have the right to: (i) request confirmation of whether we are processing your personal information; (ii) obtain access to or a copy of your personal information; (iii) receive an electronic copy of personal information that you have provided to us, or ask us to send that information to another company (the “right of data portability”); (iv) restrict our uses of your personal information which can reduce or prevent your use of the Cloud Service; (v) seek correction or amendment of inaccurate, untrue, incomplete, or improperly processed personal information; (vi) withdraw your consent which will result in the termination of your account and prevent access to your information; and (vii) request erasure of personal information held about you by BinaryStar (terminating your ability to access your account), subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law. We will process such requests in accordance with applicable laws. To protect your privacy, BinaryStar will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
